Kaley Cuoco claims her ‘Big Bang Theory’ pixie cut was the ‘worst decision’ she ever made.

Kaley Cuoco has some regrets about that big chop.

The actress Kaley Cuoco  who revealed she is pregnant with her first child earlier this week, reflected on her time on “The Big Bang Theory” in a newly released book about the show — including the time she chopped her long blond hair into a short pixie cut ahead of Season 8.
“I don’t know if I was being rebellious,” Cuoco said in “The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series,” per People.
“I mean, I did do it for [independent film ‘Burning Bodhi’], which was my excuse to cut it. At that point, we were heading into our eighth season, and something needed to shake up. I was bored and sick of the hair, and what’s funny is I thought by cutting my hair, I would spend less time in the hair and makeup chair, even though I loved the hair and makeup team.”

However, Cuoco, 36, said the decision “bit” her “in the ass” because the short style was a hassle.

“I was like, this is the worst decision! What was I thinking? I wore my hair up so much in Seasons 6 and 7. So then I cut it, and it ended up being more work because it wasn’t easy to style.”
Not only was the look more work for the show’s team, but it also came as a total shock, as Cuoco didn’t warn anyone that she was lopping off her locks.
“We didn’t have a heads-up on the haircut!” executive producer Chuck Lorre said in the book written by Jessica Radloff. “When you think back on it, it was startling. I wish we had been in the loop.”

However, co-star Jim Parsons had her back.
“Changing your hair for a play that’s running for six months is one thing. It’s another thing not to change for a decade-plus,” he said. “At some point, you just go, I’m going to do it and apologize later rather than ask permission.”

The cast discussed all the ins and outs of filming the hit show for the book, including Cuoco’s romance with co-star Johnny Galecki. The pair knew it would be more of a distraction from the work to try and continue to ignore it than actually to recognize it and surrender to it. Galecki said, and their romance only lasted from 2008 to 2010.
The “Meet Cute” star is expecting a baby girl with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey.
